In all our destinations, we have a fantastic relationship with the best English language schools, officially recognised by the various certification bodies (the British Council, English UK, ACELS, ACCET, FELTOM, etc.). They all have dedicated, professional and fully-qualified, native-speaking teachers who use the most up-to-date materials and techniques, with modern facilities and international classes (maximum 15 students).
Our students can choose from the classic courses of General English, exam preparation, CLIL, Business English and many others.
The courses are available at all levels, from elementary to proficiency with a placement test required before or upon arrival. By the end of the study holiday, the student will get a final certificate, valid according to the standards recognised at European level (Common European Framework).
We aim to motivate students not just while they are here, but to continue learning the English language for the rest of their lives.
General English
The General English courses are designed to develop all of the essential language skills, such as speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students study grammar and vocabulary to improve these skills, with a focus on communicative practice of the new language. Using our own specially designed material for teenagers, students will discuss a variety of topics and will also have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of British culture.
IELTS, Trinity and Cambridge Exam Preparation
We offer courses for all the major examinations including IELTS, Trinity and Cambridge and very often our school-partners are also examination centres. These courses will familiarise students with the format of the exam while focusing on important techniques and language areas the students need to learn in order to be successful. For short stays, we recommend choosing one or two main skills to focus on (e.g. listening and speaking) to ensure students benefit fully from the course.
CLIL
CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) is a methodology of teaching and learning that helps you learn the topics of traditional school subjects using a language other than your mother tongue.
Most of our partner schools can arrange CLIL courses for groups of students focussing on a specific subject such as science, history or geography in English, already studied by the students.
CLIL is a widespread practice throughout Europe, especially useful to secondary school students.
Business English
Business English courses are designed for students to acquire the terminology and linguistic fluency in business to improve their working relations in the international arena.
These courses provide an opportunity to consolidate the written production of commercial documents, enrich their professional skills and increase their competitiveness in the labour market.
